Introduction to numerical calculations with the use of OpenFOAM
AAG - April 15, 2022
For the training we invite mainly OpenFOAM users who have not yet performed calculations using this program. The lecture will be hosted by Dr Eng.Przemysław Błasiak from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Department of Thermodynamics and Renewable Energy Sources).
OpenFOAM is a free, continuously developed software for creating CFD simulations (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
In the programme:
Introduction to calculation by example of lid-driven cavity
Creating a numerical grid using the blockMesh tool
Preparation of numerical simulation
Visualisation of results using ParaView and OpenFOAM tools.
The training is free of charge, organised by the Wrocław Centre for Networking and Supercomputing as part of National Competence Centre HPC.
