STATUS: COMPLETED

EGI-InSPIRE (Integrated Sustainable Pan-European Infrastructure for Researchers in Europe) is a project that tsupports the development and the management of the European grid infrastructure EGI. It aimed to provide researchers with a reliable infrastructure for large-scale computation. Its origins date back to EGEE projects.
WCSS participated in two subtasks of the project:
  • Secure infrastructure - task to maintain the security of the computing infrastructure
  • validation of service deployment - task to test and deploy new versions of middleware.
The project involved 50 institutions from 40 countries
